Why should I service my
air conditioning units?

An air
conditioner is
engineered to
withstand all
sorts of abuse
and keep on
running but that
can lead to
complacency
about
maintenance.
Like your car,
your air
conditioning
units should be
serviced
regularly in
order to run
properly and
efficiently.
Without regular
maintenance an
air con unit can
lose about 5% of
its original
efficiency for
each year it has
been installed
for. With
regular
servicing a unit
will maintain up
to 95% of its
original
efficiency and
reduce the
amount of
electricity
needed to
operate it
efficiently
compared to an
un-serviced
unit.

One of the most
important items
to check during
a routine
service is the
refrigerant
level (more
commonly known
as Freon Gas)
within the air
conditioner. A
system that is
only 10% low on
refrigerant
level can cost
around 20% more
to operate!
The cost of
having your air
conditioning
